Event:  Big Country "Return to Steeltown" - 8pm - ‘Steeltown was the second studio album by Big Country which was recorded at ABBAs Polar Studios in Stockholm with production from Steve Lillywhite. Released in October, 1984 Bruce Watson remembers the time very well, amid the nationwide strife back in the UK, fully in the grip of the Miners Strike: “We started work on Steeltown back in June 1984 at Abbas studio. My Dad was a miner, so what we did was knuckle down to hard work for six weeks”.

Event:  We Will Remember Them - 3pm - D-Day plus 75 & the Roaring Forties, is a concert to celebrate the success of D-Day 6th June, 1944 and to remember the brave men and women of our allied forces who, on that day in history, made the ultimate sacrifice that we may enjoy peace in our time. So, who better to help us celebrate and remember than the D-Day Darlings, Britains Got Talent Finalists 2018, and currently riding high in the music charts with their CD, “Ill Remember You”. They will be supported in the first half by the Hyde Band who have a reputation for delivering Glenn Miller music dressed in American GI uniforms and in the style of a 1940s big band – they will be enhanced by the 40s dance troupe “Braces and Lace”. You are invited to embrace the 40s theme by dressing in the fashion and hair styles of the period! Salisbury Royal British Legion Band will open the second half with music to remind us of the role played by the R.B.L. since its inception in May, 1921 to provide support for our ex-servicemen and women of the combined arm forces. The show will conclude with a Service of Remembrance, Last Post & Reveille and the singing of “Land of Hope and Glory”.

Barlow built a musical career in Sweden in the 1970s and 1980s, and has made a special study of the musical history of Sweden. The RMS meet in a classically-proportioned Georgian room that provides superb acoustics, good facilities, and convivial surroundings that present the perfect environment for the appreciation of wonderful music. The venue is situated in an historic building at the back of St Ann Street. Access by car or on foot is from Friary Lane through green gates into a large, secure, private car park (where you can park for free). The room opens directly to the car park.

The Mark Smallman Band, formed around the guitarist and vocalist Mark Smallman, play a broad range of high-octane classic rock mixed with some tasteful bluesy tracks. Playing alongside Mark is percussionist Ross Harfield, bass man Andy Marks and Steve Rance on keyboards. Their debut CD 'Who Cares?' has been re-mastered with the addition of two previously unreleased numbers and is very much recommended to the fans who like 80's-style British AOR/melodic rock with a symphonic touch.
