Choral Foundation Concert: Fauré Requiem

Start time: 7.30pm

A Remembrance-tide concert sung by the entire Cathedral choir - boys, girls and men – conducted by David Halls and accompanied by The Sinfonietta. Fauré wrote of the work, "Everything I managed to entertain by way of religious illusion I put into my Requiem, which moreover is dominated from beginning to end by a very human feeling of faith in eternal rest." The piece premiered in its first version in 1888 in La Madeleine in Paris. Booking details Tickets are £15 per person. A wheelchair user ticket includes a free ticket for a companion. Please note there will be no interval
