Salisbury Chamber Chorus Saturday 22 June 2024
Venue:  Market Place     map
Address:  Guildhall Square, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP1 1TP
Event:  Salisbury Chamber Chorus - 11am - Salisbury Chamber Chorus's website: www.salisburychamberchorus.org. Salisbury Chamber Chorus on Facebook: www.facebook.com/SalisburyChamberChorus. As Salisbury emerged from lockdown, choirs were thrilled to be able to perform again, and audiences to hear them. One of Salisbury Chamber Chorus’s most memorable performances of the last few years was its concert in the Market Square, when only singing outside was allowed. They gathered quite a crowd (around 200), and apparently could be heard as far away as the Cathedral Close. Now they are returning for another visit with a mixed bag of their current repertoire - Johann Strauss, Offenbach, Wagner, Fauré, Haydn and Handel. All welcome - bring a garden chair, grab a coffee (or bring a bottle!), and settle in.

Salisbury Chamber Chorus: A Festival Of Operetta Saturday 29 June 2024
Venue:  Medieval Hall     map
Address:  Sarum St. Michael, West Walk, Cathedral Close, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP1 2EY
Event:  Salisbury Chamber Chorus: A Festival Of Operetta - 7.30pm - This must surely have a good chance of being the most entertaining concert you’ll hear in this summer’s Salisbury concert season. Salisbury Chamber Chorus brings its inimitable style to this frothiest of classical forms, with selections from favourite composers Johann Strauss II, Offenbach, Gilbert and Sullivan, and Lehár, celebrated shows like The Merry Widow, The Mikado, Orpheus in the Underworld, and The Student Prince. There’s even a brief detour into the world of Zarzuela, Spain’s homegrown version of operetta. Salisbury Chamber Chorus's website: www.salisburychamberchorus.org.
