Event: Shoulder to Shoulder - 7.30pm - Presented by Swansea City Opera in association with Wiltshire Creative and Arts Council Wales. How do you beat loneliness? How do you learn to laugh again? Swansea City Opera collected stories from members of the UK charity Men’s Shed who have experienced life's adversities and isolation to create a contemporary and uplifting opera that explores life’s ups and downs. Sung beautifully, Shoulder to Shoulder features singers who’ve worked at major opera houses, including the Royal Opera House and Glyndebourne. The company features soprano Jess Robinson, a finalist in the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World in 2023. Wiltshire Creative are delighted that local Men's Shed groups from Salisbury and Wilton will also play their part on stage. Libretto by Brendan Wheatley Composer Lenny Sayers

Event: The Mikado - 2pm & 7pm - Opera della Luna returns to Salisbury with its most colourful and popular production ever: The Mikado. This astonishing and inventive company have achieved nation-wide recognition for their innovative and energetic shows. Their Mikado is set in the zany sparkling world of modern fashion houses. With costumes inspired by Versace and Jean-Paul Gautier, it promises a riot of gorgeous and bizarre creations. Sequins, stunning gowns, glorious singing, and of course, the company’s inimitable brand of mad-cap humour! The show is performed with a cast of eight multi-talented singer/actors, no chorus, and the company’s own ten-piece orchestral ensemble.
