Venue: Salisbury City Hall map Address: Malthouse Lane, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP2 7TU Event: We Will Remember Them - 3pm - Remembrance concert for the Poppy Appeal. 2018 is the 100th Anniversary of WW1 and the former Royal Marine Director of Music will present a programme of music to reflect the special anniversary concert. Capt. Cole picked up his first BAFTA in 2016 as the enduring music producer of the RBL Festival of Remembrance for the BBC from The Royal Albert Hall and earlier this year he collected his second BAFTA as music producer for the BBC commemoration of the Battle of Passchendaele. The concert will be enhanced by a return visit of Salisbury's very own military wives choir. The Salisbury Plain Military Wives Choir was founded in 2012 and has established itself within the community. It always delivers an emotional musical message that makes us remember the sacrifices made by our young men and woman that serve at home and abroad in our armed forces. |

Glenn Tilbrooks solo shows have continued to rise in popularity with his 2016 tour selling out all but a couple of shows. The reasons for this are a combination of a consummately professional, yet distinctly personal performance, the familiarity of those wonderful Squeeze songs – both new and old, and the occasional spontaneous interpretation of a respected song by another artist. |

There are also 2 pieces written especially for the occasion: a George Herbert poem set to music by Alec Roth and Alison Cameron's interpretation of World War 1 poetry for soprano soloist, choir and alto recorder.
