Cleveland will be performing live with full band at The Salisbury Playhouse on 29th May as part of the International Arts Festival. March 2022 marks the launch of ‘The Great Jamaican Songbook’ album and tour, the new project by multidisciplinary artist Cleveland Watkiss MBE. A truly inspirational figure in UK music and recent winner of the 2021 Ivors Composer Award For Innovation, Watkiss’ impact and legacy is felt strongly across an extremely broad spectrum of musical genres. In jazz, he is known as the co-founder of the hugely influential Jazz Warriors big band, as well as his work with the pianist and composer Julian Joseph and as a much-respected solo artist, regularly performing at leading venues both in the UK and internationally.

A witty look at the strained relations between men and women,Smashed 2 is juggling reinvented, using plenty of explosive fruit and slow-motion comedy. Inspired by the work of the great choreographer Pina Bausch, Gandini Juggling combines elements of her gestural choreography with intricate patterns and cascades of solo and ensemble juggling. The result is a new hybrid of juggling, in a dance theatre style, performed with meticulous unison and split-second timing. A funny, inventive and characterful work showcasing masterful stagecraft. Warning: Scenes of mild violence with smashed fruit.
