Welcome To Thebes

In partnership with Wiltshire College and University Centre, our Wiltshire Creative Academy students present their final performance of the year. Set in the present day but inspired by ancient myth, Welcome To Thebes explores the struggles of Eurydice, the first democratic president of a war-torn Thebes, who seeks peace without the support of Theseus, the wealthy leader of Athens. As the threat of insurrection looms and a dictator's body remains unburied, the play passionately examines the clash between the world's richest and poorest nations in the aftermath of war. This is an amateur performance by Wiltshire Creative Academy.
