‘EVENSONGS’ An Evening with The Rt Rev Dr Andrew Rumsey, Bishop of Ramsbury

Thursday 16 November 2023 -- EVENT HAS PASSED
Venue: Medieval Hall map
Address: Sarum St. Michael, West Walk, Cathedral Close, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP1 2EY
‘EVENSONGS’ An Evening with The Rt Rev Dr Andrew Rumsey, Bishop of Ramsbury
Start time: 7.30pm
Bishop Andrew briefly steps away from his cope and, for this evening, adopts a surprising alternative persona. Andrew is a highly talented composer and musician (guitar and voice) and, also, an author – a man of poetry and prose. He will perform songs from his new album and readings from his acclaimed book ‘English Grounds’. In this solo performance he will share his deep and knowledgeable appreciation of the countryside around us together with its local history. He considers how, over centuries, communities have grown and adapted to their environment. He considers nature, the seasons, the weather and how it all can help us to make sense of the world around us and our place in it.
Please note: As per our terms of use, the events listed are not in our control, so they could be changed. Also, some venues may charge an entrance fee to certain music events. In either case, we recommend that you contact the venues before making your arrangements.
