The Pirates of Penzance – Outdoor Opera

Start time: 7pm

An unfortunate case of mishearing initiates the plot for The Pirates of Penzance, resulting in a dramatic change of direction for Frederic who sets a course to become a pirate rather than a ‘pilot’! The twists and turns of this classic operetta unfold with ingenious characters, sublime lyrics and some of the best-known songs in opera. Opera Anywhere is passionate about producing accessible, innovative and entertaining opera and operetta for all ages. Our professional singers and musicians give around 65 performances a year, all over the UK. You’ll find us in theatres, concert halls, churches, festivals, museums, galleries, outdoors and even on punts! Held in the stunning Arundells garden in the shadow of Salisbury Cathedral. Come early and enjoy a wander around the garden or explore in the interval. Please note that this is an outdoor performance come rain or shine, so please do bring the appropriate attire with you as there is no covered area. Picnic blankets and low backed chairs will make your experience far more relaxing and we encourage picnics but we do ask that you please take your rubbish home with you please. The garden will open from 6pm and the performance will start at 7pm.
