Organ Prom
Start time: 7pm
Join us in Salisbury Cathedral for the return of the thrilling Organ Prom, played by our very own organists, David Halls and John Challenger. This year the Prom is a Coronation special, so dress up, have a glass of Pimm’s, explore the building, and bask in the sounds of our famous Father Willis organ in an informal, celebratory atmosphere. The programme will include Walton’s Orb and Sceptre March, the overture to Handel’s Fireworks Suite, Debbie Wiseman’s beautiful Elizabeth Remembered and Iain Farrington’s Voices of the World (commissioned for the Coronation service of King Charles III). There will even be a James Bond Medley, remembering the late Queen’s appearance at the opening of the 2012 Olympic Games.
