Talk: The South Transept Recital Series: The Faces of Night in Chopin
Start time: 7.30pm
an illustrated talk by Professor John Rink, one of the world's foremost authorities on the music of Fryderyk Chopin. In his talk, Professor Rink will describe the role of light and dark in muic by the Polish composer Chopin, focussing in particular on the Nocturnes. Contrasting passages from familiar and less familiar pieces will be compared in an exploration of musical chiarascuro.
