The Democracy Caf�

An opportunity to meet and discuss issues of a broadly political or philosophical nature. You are invited to suggest a topic (you dont have to) and they are voted on. The Democracy Caf� meets on Saturday 8 December starting at 10am and it lasts for 2 hours until noon. There is a break half way. It is free but if you can make a small contribution to funds that would be appreciated. The venue is free so it is kind of expected you will buy some refreshments. The purpose is to enable you to debate a topic chosen by the members. The topic is broadly political or ethical and theres a vote on those suggested and the most popular is chosen. If the first topic is exhausted, then the second topic is started after a break. All welcome. It takes place in the Hawking Room upstairs at the Playhouse.
