Following two years of sell-out success with Puccini operas, La Bohème and Tosca, Celebrate Voices feature opera for 2017 is Engelbert Humperdincks evocative and magical fairytale Hansel and Gretel. The superb cast of international opera singers have performed at the Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Welsh National Opera and with festivals and companies worldwide. With the intimate and beautiful surroundings of the Medieval Hall transformed into an enchanted forest for the week, this exceptional cast will be joined by a childrens chorus of local young people, who take to the stage for this enchanting, family-friendly opera, translated into English especially for the 2017 Festival.
