This June sees the premières of a new full-length work by Salisbury composer Simon McEnery, Space Time Matter Energy. Described as a ‘secular oratorio', it's a setting of texts and quotations by eminent astronomers, physicists, mathematicians and commentators from Albert Einstein to Stephen Hawkins and Carl Sagan to Martin Rees, exploring the history of the universe and our place within it. Space Time Matter Energy will be performed by the Salisbury Chamber Chorus and London percussion ensemble Beaten Track, directed by Simon McEnery.
