Salisbury Sinfonia was established in 1992 by its founding conductor Michael Moorsom and a group of local players. It has given regular concerts in and around Salisbury ever since. The orchestra's core repertoire is that of the classical period, particularly Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, but its concerts have included a wide range of works, from Baroque to the 21st century. In addition, they have successfully collaborated with the Bournemouth Sinfonietta Choir and have accepted repeat invitations to take part in Ringwood Festival.
