Award-winning guitarist and acoustic innovator, Joe has created a truly transcendental sound, fusing alternative folk, indie, with just a hint of the blues together with deep spirituality and a passionate intellectualism. On stage, his unique talent allows him to completely captivate and “absorb” audiences. Joe’s guitar technique, which includes the innovative use of multiple capos and alternate tunings is said to channel the adventurous spirit of John Martyn and capture instrumental complexities and nuances of Jimi Hendrix. As well as winning awards for Best Solo Act and Best Guitarist at the SMAs, he was personally invited by the 90s Britpop band Dodgy to support them during their 2025 tour at Cheese and Grain. Joe is very active on the grass roots scene, performing at many venues and festivals, including a show at Salisbury City Hall where he was endorsed with praise. Recognition for his skill and dedication to his beloved craft also came from the much-loved and revered bard Alex Roberts, the respected “Troubadour of Dorset”, who hailed Joe as a “magician” of the guitar and a “wizard” of songsmith.
