Event:  The Best of Both Worlds - Salisbury Chamber Chorus with the Woodfalls Band
- 7.30pm - For ticket details or more information visit www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-best-of-both-wo... - This Autumn sees the Salisbury Chamber Chorus joining forces with the fine and much-loved Woodfalls Band for two concerts, The Best of Both Worlds and The Best of Christmas. The first of these concerts, in St Thomas's, Salisbury, celebrates the best of choral and brass band music, with some intriguing repertoire for both. The Chorus will be augmenting Woodfalls' rousing performance of the 1812 Overture, while American Tale concludes with a moving Amazing Grace. By the same token, Chorus favourites The Toreadors Chorus from Carmen and Wagner's Pilgrims' Chorus get thrilling new leases of life with brass band arrangements of the orchestra part. Tickets available from eventbrite or on the door. £15, under-16s free.

Salisbury Sinfonia presents an annual season of concerts in and around Salisbury. It aims to provide interesting and varied programmes of music. The orchestra's core repertoire is that of the classical period, particularly Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, but its concerts have included a wide range of works, from Baroque to the 21st century. It also sets out to encourage young, particularly local, instrumental soloists, composers and conductors.
