Event:  Lloyd Cole
- 7.30pm - For ticket details or more information visit www.cityhallsalisbury.co.uk/index.php'page=... - Some albums coalesce around a title. Lloyd Cole's new album is one such record. Guesswork mirrors the uncertainty of the world as you enter your third act. Guesswork is consistent with a record whose protagonists seem reluctant to venture confidently beyond the moment. In terms of minutes, it's his longest, but in terms of songs, it's shorter than any of his previous eleven solo albums (fourteen if you count those he made with The Commotions).

Event:  Comedy: Kevin Bloody Wilson - Almost Awesome
- 7.30pm - For ticket details or more information visit www.cityhallsalisbury.co.uk/index.php'page=... - A long time ago, a long way from anywhere, in a West Australian mining town called Kalgoorlie, the legend of Kevin Bloody Wilson was born. It all started innocently enough - just a guy with too much time on his hands changing the words to other people's songs, and writing a few of his own, purely for the fun of it. Thirty-five years later, countless live gigs and millions of album sales down the track, Kevin Bloody Wilson has not only found his niche, he's grabbed an esky and a deckchair and he's made himself really bloody comfortable in it! Kev's songs match the Kalgoorlie landscape, dry and unforgiving. These songs are uniquely Australian, and yet year after year, album after album, tour after tour, people from all corners of the globe keep laughing their guts out at Kevin Bloody Wilson's completely authentic and original body of work. Please note that this show may contain material that may not be suitable for under 16s

So, who better to help us celebrate and remember than the D-Day Darlings, Britain's Got Talent Finalists 2018, and currently riding high in the music charts with their CD, 'I'll Remember You'. They will be supported in the first half by the Hyde Band who have a reputation for delivering Glenn Miller music dressed in American GI uniforms and in the style of a 1940s big band - they will be enhanced by the 40s dance troupe 'Braces and Lace'. You are invited to embrace the 40s theme by dressing in the fashion and hair styles of the period! Salisbury Royal British Legion Band will open the second half with music to remind us of the role played by the R.B.L. since its inception in May, 1921 to provide support for our ex-servicemen and women of the combined arm forces. The show will conclude with a Service of Remembrance, Last Post & Reveille and the singing of 'Land of Hope and Glory'.

Event:  Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra
- 7.30pm - For ticket details or more information visit www.cityhallsalisbury.co.uk/index.php'page=... - Mendelssohn's impressions of the 'comfortless, inhospitable solitude' of a Scottish walking holiday were the inspiration behind this stirring and dramatic symphony. Its haunting recurring theme came to the young composer as he explored the ruined chapel at Holyrood Palace. Rather than a tonal travelogue, it is more an atmospheric portrait of the country - a work of deep sensibility and manly melancholy that grew from the emotions that the stern Scottish landscape and history engendered in him.

It was 4am. I then changed the name of a WhatsApp I was a part of to COLD LASAGNE HATE MYSELF 1999 because I had been thinking a lot about how 1999 was the best year of my life and also about how much I hate myself sometimes.
