Maurizio desperately tries to extricate himself from his previous lover, the Princess deof Bouillon- mezzo-soprano (Anita Rachvelishvili). When the princess discovers that Adriana is her rival, she takes desperate measures of her own. Adriana Lecouvreur is a co-production with the Royal Opera House (London), Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona), Wiener Staatsoper, San Francisco Opera and Opéra National de Paris.
