Event: COMEDY: Bill Bailey: Limboland - 8pm - Second date added due to high demand. The gap between how we imagine our lives to be and how they really are is the subject of Bill's new show Limboland. With his trademark intelligence and sharp wit, he tells tales of finding himself in this halfway place. From his countless global travels, he recounts the hilarious saga of a disastrous family trip to Norway to see the Northern Lights. He rails against a world that doesn't match up to our expectations and contemplates the true nature of happiness. And no Bill Bailey show would be complete without music, so we have Bill's version of the protest song, a heart rending country and western ballad played on a Bible, and a fabulously downbeat version of Happy Birthday. - For ticket details and more information visit www.cityhallsalisbury.co.uk/index.php?page=1682

Event: Salisbury Chamber Chorus: GREAT RUSSIAN OPERA CHORUSES - 7.30pm - The Salisbury Chamber Chorus presents a concert of extraordinary and exciting choruses from the great Russian operas. From Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin to Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov, Russian opera has given us some of the most spectacular, but also some of the most exquisite moments in the repertoire. The Coronation Scene from Boris will be well-known to some, as will the Polovtsian Dances from Borodin's Prince Igor (if only because the chief melody made its way into the musical Kismet!), but Rimsky-Korsakov's Snow Maiden and Shostakovich's Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk also include gorgeous and moving choruses that feature in this unmissable concert. David Coram will be the pianist for this concert, which is directed by Simon McEnery, whose love of Russian opera was fostered while working with Tugan Sokhiev at Welsh National Opera. - For ticket details and more information visit www.salisburyplayhouse.com/whats-on/we-also-sell-for/great-russian-opera-choruses
