Canzonetta, an East Dorset based singing ensemble will be performing live. They will be covering a varied range of singing styles from baroque and sacred pieces to complex folk arrangements, spirituals to fabulous arrangements of twentieth century songs; close harmony, a cappella or with piano accompaniment.

- 7.30pm - For ticket details or more information visit www.salisburycathedral.org.uk/events/south... - an illustrated talk by Professor John Rink, one of the world's foremost authorities on the music of Fryderyk Chopin. In his talk, Professor Rink will describe the role of light and dark in muic by the Polish composer Chopin, focussing in particular on the Nocturnes. Contrasting passages from familiar and less familiar pieces will be compared in an exploration of musical chiarascuro.
